Bamboo
From the name of Bamboo Charcoal, it is easy to know that the material is made from bamboo. Bamboo is botanically categorized as a grass and not and a tree, bamboo might be the world’s most sustainable resource. It is the fastest growing grass and can shoot up a yard or more a day. Bamboo reaches maturity quickly and is ready for harvesting in about 4 years. Bamboo does not require replanting after harvesting because its vast root network continually sprouts new shoots, pulling in sunlight and greenhouse gases and converting them to new green growth. Growing bamboo does not need fertilizers, nutrients or pesticides; it can be considered a very sustainable industry. Bamboo plantations are large factories for photosynthesis, which reduces green house gases. Bamboo plants absorb about 5 times the amount of carbon dioxide and produce about 35% more oxygen than an equivalent stand of trees. We can say that the planting of bamboo is good for environmental protection of the earth and helps to slow down green house effects.
Bamboo Charcoal Fabric
The Bamboo Charcoal Fabric is an eco-fabric that is made from yarn embedded with nano-particles of bamboo charcoal. The manufacturing process is as below:
1) 4 to 5 year old Taiwanese-grown bamboo that has dried and burned in 800 degree C ovens until it is reduced to charcoal.

2) The charcoal is then ground and filtered into nano-particles.
3) The nano-particles of bamboo charcoal are doped into the fibres manufactured in a closed loop process.
4) The fibre are then spun into yarn. This conventional fibre yarn that contains trapped bamboo charcoal nano-particles is then knitted into fabrics.
